Amy's inspiring testimony.
I couldn't believe when I saw my two friends from Aberdeen, who had been set free for a few months. They looked radiant - I couldn't belive it. They were so touched by the Lord. This gave me the motivation to stay at TC and see it through. It was the hardest decision that I have ever made, but my life has never been the same since.
Amy from Aberdeen
I have tried everything to get off drugs and I had exhausted all resources and had nae hope. When I came to the Haven there was just love... The staff here at the Haven tend to side with the person that you could be more than with the person that you are.
Liam Harvey
I did not know how to cope with traumatic circumstances and the only thing I knew was to immerse myself in the world of addiction.... I am back in a homeless hostel, I have nothing and I posed this question to God and asked "Is this it?". Within a couple of days there was someone of Teen Challenge speaking in the hostel... I listened to his story and it blew me away. It was the first real account I heard of somebody who had successfully came off drugs. I was all of a sudden aware of God and it was as if He knew that I was ready and He orchestrated the circumstances for me to go to TC.

Support
Building Bridges through Friendship
Our aim is to befriend, offer help and support for individuals in life-controlling problems, such as addiction and those who seek to build a new life after a prison sentence.
If people need practical support, we will do what we can to meet these needs.
We are also providing support and issues relating to mental health, along with other agencies.
Community Swap Shop
We run a small swap shop for second hand clothes and small household items.
We also offer a small local community fridge for food items.
All items are free of charge, but donations are welcome.
"Give what you can, take what you need." Please only take 3 items a time, so that we can help as many people as possible.

Our Story
Who are we?
We are a growing group of volunteers from various churches in Perth.
Some of us have been involved in a drop-in centre for people in need in the last years. This drop in was led by Helen Sewell, a former social worker, who worked in a Rehab centre in London (Phoenix house) and has a lot of professional experience in adult and child protection protocols whilst working with substance abusers and their families.
Our heart is to support the marginalized in our society in co-operation with churches and other organizations in Perth.
We are supportive of the Connect Network of Junction 42.
These are vibrant, worshipping communities that are created when those from the church work with those from the edge to create a mutual space, expressing the characteristics and personalities of the people who attend.

Woodwork Workshops:
A number of people in unemployment feel they have nothing positive to do.
We intend to offer various coaching workshops in 2025, such as woodwork & furniture repair, music, home-baking, community gardening, painting in the near future.
Chris K., as Master craftsman joiner, has 20 years of experience in coaching people with challenges. Their involvement in joinery work often transformed their lives.
We see the involvement in such activities, as a way to set them off
on a downward path to help raise their self-esteem by the excitement of
achieving something productive.
